Alpha waves are a type of brain wave originating predominantly from the occipital lobe during awake relaxation with closed eyes. They are emitted within an amplitude range between 8 and 15 Hz, associated with a state of deep relaxation and stress release. Alpha waves are closely linked to relaxed mental states, making an increase in alpha wave activity a desirable outcome in certain types of biofeedback training.
Alpha Waves is an application designed to help you achieve a deeper sense of relaxation by allowing you to tune into this frequency. The app emits a waveform at 11 Hz. You can adjust the frequency to your preference by moving your finger across the slider situated on the sound-wave at the center of the screen. Initiating the wave emission is as easy as pressing the Alpha button located on the top left before starting your relaxation session. The quality of your relaxing moments is likely to improve noticeably during use. It is advisable to use headphones or quality speakers for an enhanced experience.
To further enhance your relaxation, the app features several in-app functions. You have the option to choose from 7 super relaxing chill-out songs and 5 nature sounds to deepen your state of relaxation and find complete relief from stress. A built-in timer enables you to set the duration for which the app will play. Additionally, you can personalize your experience by changing the background color through your settings, selecting from 5 soothing Alpha Wave inspired tones. Unlocking the full version of the app allows access to all these functions, enhancing your overall experience.
Great care and dedication were put into creating Alpha Waves, with the aim that many individuals will uncover the benefits of brainwave entrainment and isochronic tones by using it consistently in their relaxation sessions.
